01Scope
This notice covers this website, deimos.themartian.app, and the Deimos Forge private pilot service: the isolated cloud workspaces we run for invited pilot users, which you reach from HerdrUp.
02This website
- This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, no trackers and no forms.
- Its fonts and images are served from this website itself.
- Cloudflare delivers this website and its DNS. It processes request data, such as your IP address and user agent, in its logs.
- Our web server logs each request (IP address, time, URL and user agent) for security and operations.
- The “Request pilot access” button only opens your own email app. Nothing reaches us unless you send that email.
03Pilot service: what we hold
If you take part in the pilot, we hold:
- the contact details you give us to join, such as your name and email address;
- your workspace’s device SSH public keys and device labels;
- workspace identifiers and operational events, such as start, stop and renew times, and errors;
- the contents of your workspace disk: your code, files, agent sessions and logs, and any model-provider logins you choose to make inside it.
04Model providers
You sign in to your own model subscription, such as Claude or ChatGPT, yourself, inside your workspace. That login is stored on your workspace disk. We do not use it, copy it out of your workspace, or bill through it.
What you send to a model provider is governed by your agreement with that provider.
05How we use it
We use this information to run and secure your workspace, to troubleshoot problems, to prevent abuse, and to contact you about the pilot.
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not train models on your content.
06Who processes it
- Hetzner provides the servers that host the workspaces and this website, in the EU.
- Cloudflare provides DNS, website delivery and protection.
- Tailscale provides the private network used to reach pilot workspaces.
Any provider you sign in to from your workspace also processes what you send it.
07Access by us
Workspaces are isolated from each other. Our operators have administrative access to the servers. They access workspace data only to operate, secure or troubleshoot the service, when you ask us to, or where the law requires it.
08Retention and deletion
- Workspace data is kept while your workspace exists.
- Deleting a workspace removes its virtual machine and its disk.
- Operational records (such as workspace start and stop times, and web server request logs) are kept for as long as we need them to run, secure and troubleshoot the service. You can ask us to delete the ones about you.
To have your data deleted, email privacy@themartian.app with the subject “Deimos Forge data deletion”.
09Your rights
Where the law that applies to you grants them, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form.
To use any of these rights, email privacy@themartian.app. We may need to confirm who you are first. We aim to respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
10Changes to this notice
We may update this notice. When we do, we change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and we tell pilot users about material changes.
